Our Bouldering Area
At The Castle, we have an expansive bouldering zone throughout our west seattle property.
Our climbs are appropriate for adult beginner and advanced climbers alike; with a variety of styles and difficulties.
NEVER THE SAME: ROUTES CHANGE WEEKLY
We set new boulders each week in six different sections. The whole bouldering zone will be new every 6 weeks!
EPIC FEATURES:
Our bouldering walls feature; two epic 20’ x 20’ roof sections, the largest amount of slab walls in WA, many unique wall angles, a mushroom shaped boulder, and a spinning rolling pin!
DIY Spirit; Our set team is world class. They dream up cool routes w/custom made holds, volumes and some really unique & fun climbs.
❋ Grading
At CCC we are using the circuits system. A bouldering circuit is a grading system that groups boulder problems by difficulty, using different colors to represent a range of V-grades.
It is designed to improve training efficiency and create a more well-rounded climber.
Instead of focusing on a single grade, a climber works on a circuit that includes various styles of problems, helping to improve skills across different strengths like strength, power, and endurance.
Our routes are unique. With a world class setting team we are implementing really thoughtful routes for adults brand new to climbing and people pushing past V10.
